GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 100035
Remove unnecessary markup from glade messages in gnomeicu
Last modified: 2011-03-30 19:07:43 UTC
#: ui/prefs.glade.h:2 msgid "<b>GnomeICU Emoticon Themes</b>" #: ui/prefs.glade.h:3 msgid "<b>GnomeICU Icon Themes</b>" #: ui/welcome.glade.h:2 msgid "" "<small>Select this if you already have an account which you'd like to use " "with GnomeICU.</small>" #: ui/welcome.glade.h:3 msgid "" "<small>Select this if you've never used ICQ before, or if you don't remember " "your UIN or password.</small>" This use of markup inside messages marked for translation is totally unnecessary, and a problem for the translation process. For details, see the problem description in bug 96836. Since these are glade messages, I'll mark it dependant on the glade bug 97061 in the mean time.
marking as later.. this is probably post 1.0 since it will depend on a later version of libglade
GNOMEICU development has been stalled and it has been unmaintained for a few years now. as per http://www.ocrete.ca/2011/03/30/gnomeicu-is-no-more/ Maintainers don't have future development plan so i am closing bugs as WONTFIX. Please feel free to reopen the bugs in future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development.
