Hi -

Enclosed are the color profiles which I called factory, myCal, and sRBG.

The inside name for "factory" may be something like ASUS_17410019.

The inside name for "myCal" may be ASUS_Eee_PC_1005HA.

The Gimp test image is simply two gray rectangles of different luminosity.
This is more than adequate to see the differences.

The difference between factory and myCal is quite large, so you don't need
to squint for subtle differences.

I used Gimp, with color management, to create the artwork for a book.
That was a couple of years ago.
The color was not critical, so I thought I'd try it in Gimp softproof.
Rip of the exported RGB TIFF to CMYK was in PDF, via Adobe Acrobat Pro.
When the book came back from the printer, the color was an excellent match
to the softproof in Gimp. Surprisingly accurate.

It's also possible to rip to CMYK, with a print profile,
using GraphicsMagick. But that's a command-line thing, and it requires faith,
since there's no way to check the result without Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Incidentally, I have posted a verified (and fixed) Gimp bug before,
under a different login name which I've forgotten due to disuse.
