Description Jeremy Bicha 2017-02-11 12:52:27 UTC
1. Open the GNOME Recipes app.
2. Open the Activities Overview and look at the list of running apps. Instead of 'GNOME Recipes', the add is identified as 'recipes'.

The 'recipes' name is also visible if you enable the "Window list" extension bundled with gnome-shell-extensions (and enabled by default in Classic mode).

In the default Alt-Tab window switcher and in the App Menu, 'GNOME Recipes' is used.

I can still reproduce this bug with recipes 0.12.0 on Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 Alpha
gnome-shell 3.22.2-4ubuntu1
Comment 3 Jeremy Bicha 2017-02-12 14:57:54 UTC
Actually, this is a little different. Instead of 'recipes', it's now 'Recipes'.

However, the .desktop, App Menu and About window all use 'GNOME Recipes'.

Personally, I like it saying 'GNOME Recipes' in the About window although that's not really done by other GNOME apps. But I think everywhere else should use the same name.

Not considering this a bug
Comment 5 Jeremy Bicha 2017-02-12 16:00:47 UTC
I don't understand.

Do you want the app to be identified as GNOME Recipes or just Recipes? Please choose one.

Ok, I better understand what you're doing with
