It's common to run tests before installing the package and, then, this test shouldn't die due a file installed by the package that is being tested being missing /libcheese/cameradevicemonitor/create: OK /libcheese/effect/create: OK /libcheese/fileutil/new_media_filename: (/var/tmp/portage/media-video/cheese-3.12.2/work/cheese-3.12.2/tests/.libs/test-libcheese:12588): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema 'org.gnome.Cheese' is not installed FAIL GTester: last random seed: R02Sb0ea5da848e60bf4e10c46f5d7a688b6 make[2]: *** [test] Terminated make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/media-video/cheese-3.12.2/work/cheese-3.12.2' make[1]: *** [check-am] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/media-video/cheese-3.12.2/work/cheese-3.12.2' make: *** [check-recursive] Error 1
bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old bug reports and feature requests in GNOME Bugzilla which have not seen updates for a long time. If you still use cheese and if you still see this bug / want this feature in a recent and currently supported version, then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/cheese/-/issues/ Thank you for creating this report and we are sorry it could not be implemented (volunteer workforce and time is quite limited).
