Putting spinners in a button is not a good idea because when the spinner is running the button should be desensitized and then there is bug 689548. This affects the dialogs in the exchange, kerberos and owncloud providers.

Take the spinner out of the button and place it separately with an accompanying label in the action area:
    O Connecting …   [ Cancel ]  [ Connect ]

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
