GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 774530
Remove non-ported plugins
Last modified: 2016-12-21 09:22:17 UTC
cdxparse, dccp, faceoverlay, hdvparse, mve, nuvdemux, patchdetect, sdi, tta, videomeasure, linsys, apexsink, nas, sdl, timidity, wininet, xvid, sndio, libvisual At this point. Nobody ported them in the last 4 years, quite a few of them seem rather obsolete or useless nowadays. And if someone needs them, GIT never forgets. At this point it's just noise.
Also "games"
And "mixmatrix"
And "overlay"
videomeasure should stay: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=703093
And "rtjpeg"
And "vbidec"
And "spc"
(In reply to Sebastian Dröge (slomo) from comment #7) > And "spc" Nevermind, that one is ported :)
"avc"
"dxr3", "pvr2d", "qcam"
Going to remove them unless there are objections in ~2 weeks, in time before the 1.11.1 release.
commit 9b5de053995488d5ddc78c1bf4df651101271d70 Author: Sebastian Dröge <sebastian@centricular.com> Date: Wed Dec 21 11:00:47 2016 +0200 Remove various unported plugins If they were not ported after 4+ years it seems unlikely that anybody is ever going to need them again. They're still in the GIT history if needed. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=774530
