I'm still having this problem in version 3.18.0
It's been fixed in 3.18.1.
Actually, 3.18.0.1, but yes, it has been fixed, and the update will arrive sometime, depending on the distro you are using, sooner or later.
Im using 3.18.1 and it is -NOT- fixed for me. Should I open a new Bug Report?

Which distro are you seeing this on, and with which theme? What GTK+ version?
Im using Arch Linux, it happens with Numix-Blue-Remix and with Adwaita, so I doubt that its the theme. Gnome is on version 3.18.1 and it should be gtk3 3.18.2-1.

Gnome is on version 3.18.1 and it should be gtk3 > 3.18.2-1. Ok, mistery resolved, I hope. Based on the arch package repo [1], gnome-system-monitor 3.18.0.1-1 should be your version number (updated on 10-21, aka today), not 3.18.0-1 as you said that you have. Please use pacman to update system monitor, and the issue should be fixed. [1] https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?sort=&q=system+monitor&maintainer=&flagged=
Indeed, it is fixed now. Thanks!
