Description Allan Day 2014-06-30 18:51:27 UTC
The recent grid isn't very effective when you have series of episodes in it - other content quickly gets lost.

One obvious thing to do here would be to automatically create collections for videos that belong to the same series.
Comment 1 Allan Day 2014-11-18 12:16:37 UTC
This would help with the other major issue with series - that they are not listed in episode order (but rather, by recency).

You could order collections of episodes by episode number or file name, while keeping the main grid ordered by recency.
Comment 2 Allan Day 2014-11-18 12:18:12 UTC
Making this a 3.16 target bug, since it can make the video grid very difficult to use if you have series of episodes in ~/Videos.

Has any progress been made here?
Asking as this was marked as a 3.16 "GNOME Target".

Unlikely to happen for 3.16 => punting

Initial visual guidance for this bug can be found here:

There's more metadata that we could possibly incorporate, but I wanted to start simple.

[Removing outdated "GNOME target" value.]
