Description Pacho Ramos 2013-05-25 17:07:56 UTC
For some reason, initial animation when login in (that one that is like screen going bigger until it fills full screen) is slow and looks to "jump" from smaller screen to final full screen.

Maybe the animation could be disabled in cases of it resulting slow (the strange thing is that all other animations works fine on my card, that is a Intel SNA one included in my i5 processor)

I see this too, mostly when I'm using my external monitor.
Comment 2 Oliver Propst 2017-01-22 20:52:33 UTC
Is bug/Issue still valid?

At least with 3.20 it still happens from time to time :/
Comment 5 GNOME Infrastructure Team 2021-07-05 14:19:42 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
