GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 677004
Gnucash crashes on Fedora 17 with sqlite file
Last modified: 2018-06-29 23:08:57 UTC
Created attachment 215160 [details] gnucash.trace file When I try to open a gnucash file in Fedora 17, I receive the following error: bkelly@X1 2012 $ gnucash --debug Found Finance::Quote version 1.17 ** gnc.register.core:ERROR:quickfillcell.c:352:gnc_quickfill_cell_use_quickfill_cache: assertion failed: (cell) Aborted bkelly@X1 2012 $ (/tmp/gnucash.trace also attached) When copying the file back to a Fedora 16 machine, I am able to open the file. I have saved this as xml, and then able to open it on Fedora 17 just fine. Both versions of gnucash are 2.4.10, but versions of sqlite are different. Fedora 17.X86_64 bkelly@X1 2012 $ rpm -qa | grep gnucash gnucash-docs-2.4.1-2.fc17.noarch gnucash-2.4.10-1.fc17.x86_64 bkelly@X1 2012 $ rpm -qa | grep sqlite sqlite-3.7.11-2.fc17.x86_64 javasqlite-20120209-1.fc17.x86_64 libdbi-dbd-sqlite-0.8.3-9.fc17.x86_64 mono-data-sqlite-2.10.8-2.fc17.x86_64 bkelly@X1 2012 $ Fedora 16.i686 (Works fine) [bkelly@ip-10-252-0-123 ~]$ rpm -qa grep gnucash grep-2.9-3.fc16.i686 gnucash-2.4.10-1.fc16.i686 [bkelly@ip-10-252-0-123 ~]$ rpm -qa | grep sqlite sqlite-3.7.7.1-1.fc16.i686 libdbi-dbd-sqlite-0.8.3-8.fc16.i686 [bkelly@ip-10-252-0-123 ~]$ Please advise if additional information required. Boyd
This is unrelated to sqlite - it's a generic quickfill issue on Fedora 17.
You may want to try: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/gnucash-2.4.10-2.fc17
This appears to have been fixed in Fedora. Can you confirm this Boyd?
Yes I confirm that this is now working. Thanks!
Reassign version to 2.4.x so that individual 2.4 versions can be retired.
