GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 672530
Address book lookup returns the exchange address "/o=dsdfsdfs /cn=sdfsdfsf"
Last modified: 2015-04-30 07:01:49 UTC
Moving this from a downstream bug report: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=805128 Description of problem: When I'm in the local network (office) the address book lookup returns the exchange address "/o=dsdfsdfs /cn=sdfsdfsf", etc. If I send the email I will receive an error returned. But when I'm at home the query returns the external email address "john@sdfsdf.com" and works correctly. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): evolution 3.2.3 evolution-ews 3.2.3 How reproducible: Don't know Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open email, add a recipient. Actual results: Returns the exchange address "/o=dsdfsdfs /cn=sdfsdfsf" Expected results: Return the real email address "john@sdfsdf.com"
Oh, this got forgotten during the time. I'm sorry for that. Mikhail, I'm wondering, do you still see this, or it got fixed meanwhile? I guess that one connection uses offline GAL, while the other could not connect to it (or is not configured to use it), and returns fresh data. I recall one bug about EX addresses being used for removed mailboxes (users from the Exchange server), maybe this is the same reason?
Milan, Mikhail, I'm going to close this one as OBSOLETE if it's not happening anymore. Any objections?
Fine with me, but please wait for Mikhail's response. I guess this is about those removed mail boxes, as mentioned in comment #1.
Sorry guys I can't remember how reproduce this. Now I can enter "john@sdfsdf.com" as recipient and send mail.
(In reply to Fabiano Fidêncio from comment #2) > I'm going to close this one as OBSOLETE if it's not happening anymore. > Any objections? Let's do it. Feel free to reopen, though if it'll be the case of a "left coworker", then there is not much EWS can do with it, I'm afraid.
