Simi8lar downstream bug report from Evolution 3.4.3: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=838098 The problem is that the sync call of the EClient is forced to call g_main_context_iteration, which, in this case, calls repeatedly events and invokes new EClient synchronous calls, where it is supposed to just wait on a result of the first EClient call. The fix should be to not use synchronous calls from the main thread.
