I am not sure if we want to mark it duplicate of bug 267787
(In reply to comment #2) > I am not sure if we want to mark it duplicate of bug 267787 Laddha, I dont think we should mark this duplicate of bug 267787, instead, I think we can make it a blocker of bug 267787.
yang.jie: Is there also a MeeGo downstream bug ID to track?

the patch from raul.gutierrez.segales(Wrap the security preferences of an account inside a scrolled window) should have fixed this issue, please help verified and commit, thanks.
Thanks for a bug report and patch. I'm fine to commit it, but it doesn't apply against latest git master of evolution (I'm at commit 3fbb69c, which is before 3.1.3 release). Could you provide a patch for the latest evolution git master, please?
*** Bug 653674 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
yang.jie, ping, can you please provide patch against master (3.1.5) source before it gets too later for stable 3.2.0 release ?

Thanks for the update, this applies cleanly. The only thing is that it doesn't work always. It works fine for POP accounts, but does not work for IMAP accounts, which have too many Receiving Options. What I would like also to see, is to make the window smaller only if the screen size is not sufficient. Because my screen size is tall enough to show me whole Security tab in once, but with the patch (and POP account) it shows me only portion of it, with a scroll bar. It doesn't look good.
No new information. Just reporting that I am experiencing the issue, too. Looking forward to a fix.
Matthew, is this addressed for 3.5.3?
Depends on the screen size and the account type, of course. IMAP usually being the worst offender, I am going to remove from the UI some of the more esoteric options like shell command and number of connections.
@mbarnes: In case you are aware of UI changes in the 3.5 Account Editor please let me know so I can check the User Docs. I prefer to avoid checking all 12 (or so) account types with all their tabs... :)

I prefer to avoid checking all 12 (or > so) account types with all their tabs... :) I rewrote the account editor from scratch for 3.5.3. Options are the same but you'll want to look it over. The attached screenshot is what editing an account looks like now. Once I get regressions under control, I'm going go through the User Docs more thoroughly and file bugs for parts that need changed. It's a different world now with the account-mgmt merge.
Downstream bug report about the same in 3.4.3 (not express mode only): https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=843665
This got addressed in the Account Editor rewrite for Evolution 3.6. Closing as FIXED.
