Description Keith Sharp 2009-12-31 05:12:14 UTC
I would like to suggest that the double click behavior be changed to centre and zoom rather than just zoom. This would bring libchamplain in line with the behavior of Google Maps.
Comment 1 Pierre-Luc Beaudoin 2009-12-31 05:30:23 UTC
Well I don't like Google's behaviour ;) You have to move your mouse to the center after double clicking. While the current double click behavior is more consistent with zooming with the mouse wheel. Other have an opinon on the mather?
Comment 2 Keith Sharp 2009-12-31 17:36:18 UTC
Is worth having this as an option that can be set on the view? You could leave the current behavior as the default.
Comment 3 Pierre-Luc Beaudoin 2009-12-31 18:08:49 UTC
I wouldn't be opposed to a "center-on-double-click" property. But then we'd have map applications on the desktop with fairly different behaviours :/

The new libchamplain maintainer (contrary to the old one) actually prefers the suggested behaviour ;-). Will consider this for 0.8.

Implemented in master. I haven't made this optional - google maps is a kind of standard in map viewing and we should do the same because the users just expect this behaviour.
