GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 603418
[regression] Custom headers not displayed in message preview
Last modified: 2010-06-03 08:14:00 UTC
Hi, I just noticed that the custom headers I've chosen to be displayed (like Message-ID), while present in the source mail, aren't displayed in the preview pane. I guess this is since 2.29 but will check on 2.28. Cheers, -- Yves-Alexis
This is still reproducible (and annoying) in 2.29.91 and, after check, is _not_ present in 2.28.
Working on this but it's going to take awhile. Will test drive the fix when 2.31 development begins and shoot for a 2.30.1 backport.
Ok, thanks for keeping us posted.
Created attachment 156911 [details] [review] proposed evo patch for evolution; A "temporary quick and dirty fix" for 2.30 and to be used until a "proper" change will be done on 2.31 is like this one. Maybe I chose wrong files and/or structure / function names, so feel free to correct me.
Hmhm, did the backport make it to 2.30.1?
It didn't make it even to master yet :-/ I forgot of this patch completely, though I see I wanted a review on it from other developers. Downstream bug report: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=585798
Created commit cd7c20d in evo master (2.31.1+) Created commit 76735b5 in evo gnome-2-30 (2.30.2+)
Hmm, when I have empty /apps/evolution/mail/display/headers then there is not shown any header in the message preview, but adding and removing one custom header makes all seen like expected (the GConf key is fully populated).
Created commit f1eae39 in evo master (2.31.1+) Created commit 020e16e in evo gnome-2-30 (2.30.2+)
