GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 592178
"Personal Information" dialog has a "contact" header
Last modified: 2010-05-18 09:11:01 UTC
Open the "Edit > Personal Information" dialog. It has a header above the elements that says "Contact", which isn't relevant to the dialog at all. I suggest removing the header completely, rather than changing the text, as it would look better be consistent with most other dialogs in Empathy. +++ Bug encountered on Empathy 2.27.90
I agree, this label should be removed.
Hum this label (label654) is actually in empathy-contact-widget. Xavier: what's the right way to not display it?
This branch of mine fixes this issue. http://git.collabora.co.uk/?p=user/cosimoc/empathy.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/hide_label
Xavier reviewed the patch on IRC and proposed another approach to the fix. <Zdra> cosimoc, IMO we should also remove it from tooltip and contact info <Zdra> cosimoc, actually we should remove it if there is only one section <Zdra> cosimoc, that's still legacy from Gossip where there were other topics... this is because gabble STILL does not support vcard <Zdra> cosimoc, so IMO that widget should be smart and detect there is only one section (not true if there is map or edit groups) <Zdra> cosimoc, in that case it is not enough to hide the label, you should also remove the alignment
