Description Nicolò Chieffo 2009-06-11 15:42:35 UTC
By default a drag & drop action in the contact list is treated as a copy, but in my opinion it should be a move
Comment 1 Pierre-Luc Beaudoin 2009-06-11 17:25:59 UTC
I agree with that, I don't see the usercase for having people in multiple groups.

Also, on the desktop, draging is move, ctrl+drag is copy
Comment 2 Jonathan Tellier 2009-06-12 12:55:11 UTC
It's only a personal opinion, but I think the current behaviour is OK. Why prevent someone to be a member of both my "friends" and "coworker" groups? However, I do agree that "dragging" could move and "ctrl+drag" could copy.
Comment 3 Xavier Claessens 2009-06-12 13:45:32 UTC
I agree with this bug, it is probably more common to *move* a contact from one group to another than copying a contact to have it in 2 groups.

Of course both are important, but IMO the most common case should be by just DnD, and the less common shift+DnD.
Comment 4 Nicolò Chieffo 2009-06-12 13:49:08 UTC
did you mean ctrl+dnd?

If you tested and it works, +1.
