GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 572787
"Set image to actual size" should not be default in viewer
Last modified: 2009-10-09 15:17:40 UTC
This was reported at https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gthumb/+bug/333029. A lot of digital photographs are larger than the screen area. With the default setting of "Set image to actual size", users find that they have to zoom out each time they view a photograph (or press "Fit" on the toolbar). If the default zoom setting was "Fit to window if larger" then this would be unnecessary, as photographs larger than the window size would automatically fit to the window size. Images smaller than the window size would appear actual size as before. Other information:
GTH_ZOOM_CHANGE_FIT_SIZE_IF_LARGER is the default zoom setting in the current development version, ext branch (http://live.gnome.org/gthumb). - Mike
