Description Peter 2009-02-02 21:25:16 UTC
This issue first occured after I upgraded to evolution-2.24.2 from 2.24.1. I have Gentoo folder with misc subfolders. Now I see 1 unread mail in this folder while I even moved all mails out that folder (I had some mail there previously). This bug is reproducible in 2.24.4. I've tried to remove all
find \( -name '*.cmeta' -o -name '*.ibex.index*' \) -exec rm '{}' \;
and folders.db and started from scratch but still that folder shows one unread mail.

This is illustration of the problem.

Please try Evolution 2.24.4 (after it has been made available by your distribution) and report back.
Comment 3 Peter 2009-02-03 08:17:08 UTC
Andre, "This bug is reproducible in 2.24.4."
Comment 4 Peter 2009-02-03 08:22:57 UTC
I've tried to start with FORCE_VFOLDER_COUNT=1 evolution, but this made no difference.
Comment 5 Dominique Hazaël-Massieux 2009-04-07 08:12:13 UTC
I have exactly the same problem.

Someone reported something similar in ubuntu's launchpad:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/346352

It may also be a dup or related to #559391 although in my case, the info label at the top of the tree view doesn't show the right count either.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 576430 ***
Comment 7 David D. Hagood 2009-07-16 18:39:26 UTC
I don't agree this is a dup of #576430 - that is referring to search folders, whereas the problem that is described in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/346352 is on regular IMAP folders.
