Description Christian Nolte 2008-12-04 18:55:27 UTC
Please describe the problem:
If a video is played back in the browser plugin and another video is being opened to view in parallel, the totem instances are shared. It is impossible to play back two or more videos in parallel. It seems that there can only be one instance of totem at a time. This happens if I am playing back two videos in the browser or one video using totem on the desktop and in the browser in parallel.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Playback a trailer from http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/sevenpounds/
2. Playback a trailer from http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox_searchlight/thewrestler/ in a second tab in firefox
3. the instances are shared.

Actual results:
Oddly I just get two white windows and neither video is playing. If in step 2. a video is played back from the desktop totem instance, the "desktop"-video is played back in the browser window. If the desktop video is played back in step 1. and the web-video in step 2 the web-video is played back in the "desktop"-instance window.

Expected results:
Two or more videos are playing in parallel.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Works fine here, what's the output of your web browser (you might need to pass "-debug" to Firefox to get something) when reproducing the problem?

Please also attach the output of xvinfo for your system.

Removing nspluginwrapper resolves this problem for me.
