GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 559085
gnome terminal paste and profile preferences mnemonic conflict
Last modified: 2008-11-03 13:04:08 UTC
this report has been filed here: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/290777 "Gnome terminal has two options with the same hotkey in the edit menu. Both "Paste" and "Profile Preferences" share the letter "P". Previously, one could press "ALT+e" and then "P" to paste, now it is ambiguous and only selects between the two options. Expected behavior: Paste contents of the clipboard buffer at current cursor position Actual behavior: Selects either Paste or Profile Preferences"
This is not reproducible in either gnome-2-24 or svn trunk of gnome-terminal. (This has been fixed before 2.24.0 already, together with the fix for bug 535755.)
Sorry, I misread the original report. This is the Edit menu, not the context menu as in bug 535755.
Fixed on svn trunk. WONTFIX on gnome-2-24 due to string freeze.
