Description Dimitur Kirov 2008-07-18 14:18:49 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When I try to open a file from icon view dialog for the second time, nautilus doesn't start the file's prefered application. The same for folders. If I open a folder, then close it and try to open it again - nothing happens.

gentoo
gtk+-2.12.11
nautilus-2.22.4

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a folder
2. Double click a file in it.
3. Close the application with the open file.
4. Double click on the same file again.

Actual results:
nothing

Expected results:
The application with selected file should start again.

Does this happen every time?
yes

You should upgrade to Nautilus 2.22.5.1. Please tell us what distribution you are using, so that we can forward the issue to the appropriate people.

Christian, this is happening in Fedora 9 right now:

Cheers.
Comment 3 Dimitur Kirov 2008-07-20 08:59:00 UTC
my distro is written above. It is gentoo with x86/2008.0/desktop profile.
The latest nautilus version after sync is 2.22.4, so I'd better wait for >2.22.5.1 to come
Comment 4 Dimitur Kirov 2008-07-24 08:48:07 UTC
