Description Matthias Clasen 2008-05-09 17:21:16 UTC
First filed here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=445565

Description of problem:

The charpicker applet (Character Palette) ignores any changes made to its
preferences in gconf while it is running.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

gnome-applets-2.22.1-2.fc9

How reproducible:

Every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add the Character Palette applet (charpicker) to a panel.
2. Modify /apps/panel/applets/applet_0/prefs/chartable and/or
/apps/panel/applets/applet_0/prefs/current_list in gconf.

Actual results:

Nothing changes until next login. Even if you right click on the applet and go
to preferences, the old character tables still appear.

Expected results:

The character tables in the applet should be updated to reflect the new
settings. These changes should also appear in the preferences dialog.
