Description Ray Strode [halfline] 2008-03-03 15:18:24 UTC
Not too long ago Red Hat switched to using Zimbra for calendaring internally.

One of the IS/IT guys filed this report (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=267541):

After setup some meeting in evolution, the gnome calendar clock crashes.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

evolution-2.8.0-33.0.1.el5
gnome-panel-2.16.1-6.el5

How reproducible:

always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on clock applet to get the calendar
2. Bug-buddy pops up

Actual results:

ClockApplet crashes

Expected results:

ClockApplet shows me my meetings :)

Later an F8 user reported a similar problem (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=435355):

*** Bug 453173 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Comment 4 Vincent Untz 2008-04-07 20:33:02 UTC
Hrm. I hate to have such a workaround. Has the crash been reported to the zimbra evo connector people?
Comment 5 Ray Strode [halfline] 2008-04-07 20:48:48 UTC
Judging from the assigned to columms here:

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?atid=993925&group_id=205508&func=browse

Matt is one of the upstream people.
Comment 6 Matthew Barnes 2008-04-07 21:20:32 UTC
Matt /is/ upstream, and my quest for time to maintain that thing continues...
Comment 7 Ritesh Khadgaray ( irc:ritz) 2009-11-26 09:26:54 UTC
afaik, zimbra-connector is dead. Should this not be closed ?
Comment 8 Matthew Barnes 2009-11-26 13:02:14 UTC
Yes, it's dead. Unless Ray wants to push forward his defensive patch for similarly misbehaving backends, I think this can be closed.
