GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 516349
'Quote original message' reply style uses black text rather than automatic
Last modified: 2013-09-13 00:57:28 UTC
Forwarding from a downstream bug report: http://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=430248 Issue persists in Evolution 2.21.90. Description of problem: the quoted text included when you reply using the 'quote original message' preference uses black text rather than 'automatic'. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): evolution-2.12.3-1.fc8 ... Comment #1 From Matthew Barnes (mbarnes@redhat.com) Do you mean in HTML mode? In plain text mode the quoted text is gray. Comment #2 From cje@btinternet.com (cje@btinternet.com) ah yes, should have said. i'm talking about HTML mode. Comment #3 From cje@btinternet.com (cje@btinternet.com) just to be clear, i'm _not_ talking about replying to HTML messages where the text was set to black. i'm talking about replying (in HTML mode) to HTML messages where the text was set to automatic or replying (in HTML mode) to plain text messages.
Not sure yet if this is an Evolution or GtkHTML bug. I suspect Evolution.
Created attachment 105332 [details] [review] proposed evo patch for evolution; You are right, Matt. Btw, after this patch I see one "side-effect", for new messages you will see used citation color for the cited text in html mail too. It's probably good side-effect.
Tested patch, works great. Thanks Milan, please commit.
