Description liam 2008-01-08 07:11:36 UTC
Please describe the problem:
NetworkManager successfully associates with Wireless LAN using madwifi-0.9.3.3 card. After a random amount of time (minutes to hours), WLAN connection is lost, and does not get restored even if WLAN signal is present (clicking on a signal successfully connects...)

Steps to reproduce:
1.Start NetworkManager with WLAN card active
2.Select active network (Open, WPA, WEP, etc)

Actual results:
Network is attached, after random time period, link is reported as down. Link is never re-established even if signal is present

Expected results:
Link should remain active, or if lost, re-established when the signal returns.

Does this happen every time?
Yes, though the time period is variable

This happens if the link drops for more than 8 seconds, and indicates a driver problem.
