Description Adam 2007-12-19 23:24:39 UTC
Hello,
I have recently been creating a subtitle track for my own video, which has low audio volume. The video is ~140mins long, which makes using the 'slide bar' very touchy when having to go back over the last few seconds of video to 'rehear' and 'test' my subtitle timing.

Can we have a button to 'skip' the video directly to the start time of a particular subtitle, and/or make it so that you can type the mm:ss and skip to that part in the video?

In addition to this, a audio histogram would help immensely with the timing of subtitles, especially during creation.

Hi,

You can already jump the video to a subtitle by double-clicking it, or by selecting it and clicking Video -> Seek to Selection.

As for the other 2 suggestions, I agree with both. I've created bug #506936 to deal with audio histograms. This bug will handle the "seek to time instant" enhancement.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
