Description Ray Strode [halfline] 2007-09-04 21:27:08 UTC
I've seen a few Fedora reports of users being confused by the invest applet UI.

See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=245855 for an interesting back and forth dialog.

Maybe it would be better to have a link to add stock symbols right from the main window, or make the button have a right-click context menu?

improved add-stock behaviour

I had the very same problem when I used the applet the first time. It is not intuitive that the added GOOG symbol can be changed by clicking on it twice. To make this more intuitive, this patch selects the newly added symbol so that the user can type his or her symbol right away. Further, if the list of stocks is longer than can be displayed (scroll bar is active), then the list scrolls automatically to the newly added row. Before, the new stock was silently added at the end of the list.

Looks good. Patch applied to trunk.
