Description Peter Zhu 2007-08-23 06:41:47 UTC
The bug is that if user is already in chat view talking with somebody and then the user changes his presense from available to offline, then available again, he can't talk with his friend anymore in that chatview even the user is connected now. To chat, he has to quit chat window and re-chat with his friend. That just doesn't make sense for end-users.

After some simple debugging, a "destroy" signal is received as user changes status from available to offline, but no signal is received as changed back to available. I'm not sure if it's a bug of empathy or telepathy spec.
