I'm using a logitech usb mouse, configured using the evdev X driver, and a Wacom Volito tablet, using the linuxwacom.sourceforge.net drivers and kernel module. After compiling and installing the 2.3.18 version of gimp, I noticed that I cannot use my mouse for drawing anymore when the tablet is enabled in GIMP.

AFter starting gimp, the mouse works normally, as expected -- left-clicking paints, right-clicking pops up a menu. When I go to 'Configure extended devices' dialog, I can see both '<defult pointer>' and 'stylus' listed as 'disabled'. Switching the stylus to 'screen' reuslts in the mouse buttons stopping working -- the cursor displays an arrow, instead of a cross, and both left- and right-clicking do nothing. Changing the settings of '<default pointer>' has no effects. Tablet works as expected. Changing the stylus back to 'disabled' makes the mouse work again.
