Description Paolo Benvenuto 2007-06-17 20:48:20 UTC
Suppose you rename images with F2. I normally rename them to something like xxxxyyyyzzz-%d.jpg.

If I rename another image, the dialog presents me the preceeding values, and this is the correct behaviour.

However, if now I put the cursor on a directory on the directories pane and press F2, the same rename dialog is presented to the user. Since I put the cursor on the directory, I suppose that the dialog is to rename the directory, while, it's going to rename the images I had selected before moving the cursor to the directory.

I think that's not what the user expects: if the user puts the cursor on the directory, F2 key should present the "rename directory" dialog.

Confirmer: the behavior is inconsistent - both files and folders allowing renaming using "right click > rename", but only files use the F2 shortcut.

The same applies to the Shortcuts left pane (the F9-one).
