Description damidalla 2007-05-12 21:46:42 UTC
That's a problem I have only after Feisty upgrade, I cannot remember it before.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start playing a .mp3 file
2. Use the slider to move to another time position
3. Wait 3 or 4 seconds

What happens: There's a jump on the playing file of 1/2 seconds, a sort of syncing between the timer (it does not jump) and the playing.

What should happen: do I really have to say it?...

I am using Rhythmbox 0.10.0 on Ubuntu 7.04

Which versions of gstreamer and the various plugin packages do you have installed? Do you have gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3 installed? (did you install the fluendo mp3 decoder from somewhere else?)
Comment 2 damidalla 2007-05-13 12:58:34 UTC
I have gstreamer0.10-alsa 0.10.12 & gstreamer0.10-esd 0.10.5.
Plugins:
gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg 0.10.2
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad 0.10.4
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-multiverse 0.10.4
gstreamer0.10-plugins-base 0.10.12
gstreamer0.10-plugins-base-apps 0.10.12
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good 0.10.5
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly 0.10.5
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse 0.10.5

I can exclude there is any fluendo codec installed as the corresponding package is not installed, and I did not install any codec without using the repositories (this time I tried to keep my system the more "normal" I could...).
