If you press the Cancel button when file-roller is creating a big file the widget close but the process is still running. It can be checked with top"

From a dup of that bug.

"when I do an extract here (or extract from the file-roller application), a windows pops up to show the operation in progress.
If I cancel the operation, the window is closed but there is still the process that extracts the file:

this is valid for:
.zip
.gz
.bz2
.tar

not valid for:
.iso
.rar

this is also valid for compress!"
