GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 414699
Search text invisible with white-on-black themes
Last modified: 2008-09-23 11:43:34 UTC
Please describe the problem: When something has been typed into the 'Search' box on the Library screen, the background of the box turns light yellow; however, the foreground color remains unchanged. This means that if the color scheme's default text color is a light color (such as white), it will be completely invisible against the light yellow background Steps to reproduce: 1. Choose a white-on-black color scheme (I'm using Xfce4 dusk) 2. Start Rhythmbox 3. Choose the 'Library' view 4. Type something into the search box Actual results: White text appears on a light yellow background, rendering the text effectively invisible. Expected results: The text should be clearly distinguishable. Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information:
moving bug to rhythmbox.

Created attachment 107295 [details] [review] make search text cursor black The text cursor still suffers from a similar problem. This patch fixes the cursor in a similar way as what was done to the text. I'm not quite sure what should be done with the secondary cursor color but I also set it to black.
