Description Ulisse Perusin 2007-03-02 22:06:00 UTC
gnome-keyring-manager needs a Tango-style icon to merge better with the new tangoish gnome-icon-theme.

I made one, I'll attach to the bug as soon as possible.

Tango styled icon

...and here we go, this is my proposal for the Tango styled icon.
Comment 2 Jones Lee 2007-03-04 00:01:08 UTC
IMHO the metaphor is not that great, I think the metaphor of old GNOME 2 is much better. Besides, i think it's too much glossy.
Comment 3 Ulisse Perusin 2007-03-04 09:18:21 UTC
we talked about the metaphor on #tango, the old one was maybe more suitable for "password manager" or "keyring", but this app is actually a "keyring manager", where you manage your password sets, and not just your passwords.
Comment 4 Lapo Calamandrei 2007-04-02 12:45:48 UTC
As ulisse says I think the keyring holder metaphor fits better then just a keyring as the old one
Comment 5 Jaap A. Haitsma 2007-05-17 15:26:44 UTC
Nate,

Can you commit the new icons?

Thanks
Comment 6 Rodney Dawes 2007-08-19 16:24:14 UTC
Poke. Can we please get these icons in?
Comment 7 Germán Poo-Caamaño 2007-08-19 17:54:33 UTC
I don't see any problem to add this icons.

But, I'm not sure about the future of gnome-keyring-manager if seahorse also implements a keyring manager (together with other features).
Comment 8 Luca Ferretti 2008-05-02 20:10:27 UTC
Seahorse replaced g-k-m starting from 2.22 release.

'cause seahorse icon needs some Tango-love too, could we reuse this set?
Comment 9 Ulisse Perusin 2008-05-02 20:48:19 UTC
For what concerns to me, there is no problem at all.
Go for it ;)
Comment 10 Jones Lee 2008-05-17 08:36:01 UTC
Though Seahorse has replaced gkm, can we at least commit the icons for the sake of beauty of a legacy and close this bug?
Comment 11 André Klapper 2008-11-15 18:14:13 UTC
gnome-keyring-manager has been deprecated and superseded by Seahorse more than one year ago.
There has not been any active code development for more than a year.

This bug will probably soon be closed as WONTFIX or OBSOLETE.
Comment 12 Germán Poo-Caamaño 2008-11-15 19:43:29 UTC
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
However, gnome-keyring-manager won't be developed anymore and it has
been superseded by Seahorse.
