Description Christopher Aillon 2007-02-05 19:28:55 UTC
Using file-roller 2.17.90:

I built with --disable-static and most of the *.a and *.la files were not built, but there were two files that still got built:

   /usr/lib/nautilus/extensions-1.0/libnautilus-fileroller.a
   /usr/lib/nautilus/extensions-1.0/libnautilus-fileroller.la

I'm not an expert of these things, a patch is wellcome...

This bug is caused by generating the tarballs with a buggy version of autotools. When building from CVS or SVN with a recent autotools, the static files are not installed with --disable-static.

The latest generated tarball of file-roller works fine with --disable-static, so this bug is fixed or either not a bug in file-roller itself.
