Description Thilo 2007-01-07 11:43:38 UTC
Epiophany still does not support ad blocking in its extentions (see Bug 364285). I suggest to add a section in gnome-network-preferences that helps ins editing up ad blocking with a file with javascript like it is decribed in http://www.schooner.com/~loverso/no-ads/. Sure everybody wants adblocking in every browser - and it would be nice if people could have some help in setting this up. Maybe GNOME would like to distribute one file or help people to download such a file. And then help configuring? GNOME really needs ad blocking NOW as this is the major disadvantage against Firefox!

Unfortunately, I don't think GNOME should take such a bold step as to distribute ad-blocking solutions. The correct place to add this functionality is in an Epiphany extension as you mentioned.
