What were you doing when the application crashed?
Starting yelp.

Yelp comes up, displays an index and then crashes.

When run from a command line,  the culprit is exposed:

F.Y.I...

Enabling Assistive Technology Support, stopping and restarting the desktop, makes the problem go away.

Looks like collateral damage from some other package.

Don,

Retreating from at-spi-1.7.13 to version at-spi-1.7.12 makes the problems "go away".

This is highly likely to be a dup of bug 377079 or vice versa.
