Description Luca Ferretti 2006-07-23 11:59:27 UTC
Please describe the problem:
The blue color rules the color tonality of Epiphany toolbar.

This could make difficult to distinguish the icons.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Use latest g-i-t and ephy from head
2. Open Epiphany window (default layout)
3. browse two pages and go back (to Forward and Back are both available)

Actual results:
All icons are using a blue tonality

Expected results:
Different icons could use different tonality. I suggest to change some color, maybe home (dunno...) and refresh (green?), but keeping shapes

Does this happen every time?
Yes, of course

Other information:
Just to test, switch to Tango icon theme: as you can see back/forward icons are green, refresh is blue, home is white/red, zoom are blue. This help to visually distinguish icons.

mmhh..... but... Are Tango and GNOME themes using the same icons for zooms???
Comment 4 Rodney Dawes 2006-07-23 12:32:08 UTC
For the zoom icons, I think we don't have any in Tango yet, so it's falling back to the GNOME icons.

You are righ. BTW this shows us how different themes with the same style could merge gracefully :-)

I agree with the general notion of having the icons distinct not only in shape, but also in color in addition. I will investigate the home icon for sure, and perhaps refresh as well.

testcase: the default epiphany toolbar using GNOME icon theme

Screenshot updated using latest History and Bookmarks icons provided by Epiphany, plus a secondary toolbar showing all toolbar buttons with icon in Epihany.

Maybe we can just update the "view-refresh" icon, using green or green&yellow.

Why evolution doesn't use the home icon of tango or similar. I found this blue home ion not so explicit.
Comment 9 Jakub Steiner 2010-03-03 17:43:25 UTC
navigation icons are white in 2.29 now. Closing as fixed.
