GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 348253
Terminology: capture vs record
Last modified: 2006-12-19 15:07:26 UTC
On the g-v-c tabs, "Capture" doesn't seem as clear or simple a term as "Record", which is used elsewhere (e.g. gnome-sound-recorder). Is capture meant to infer something more subtle or more general than 'record'? If not, I'd suggest changing it.
Recording, it's not a verb. Otherwise, I don't care much, I'm not a language expert. Feel free to apply.
You're right, Recording is better. Brian, do you want to submit a patch while you're working on this stuff?
Created attachment 69764 [details] [review] patch to change terminology to "Recording" Here's a patch that changes "capture" terminology to "recording"
Looks good, let's apply (string freeze) after 2.16.
string freeze was a while ago - any reason this can't go in now?
Commited to head.
