The configure file, packaged with e-d-s-1.7.1, fails to locate pkg-config within the search patch. The consequences are ugly.

The configure file does detect pkg-config if $PKG_CONFIG is set in the environment.

Fixed by fejj's patch that adds PKG_PROG_PKG_CONFIG. Resolving the bug to fixed.
