Description Alberto Ruiz 2006-01-07 03:02:34 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When I open the folder it take some secons if I'm doing anothers things on the
system, otherwise when I do the same with the desktop icon, it opens almost
instantly in the same conditions.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Do some notable work on the machine (like compiling or something similar) in
order to take a notable result.
2. Open the folder with the icon of the desktop (from nautilus).
3. Open the folder using double-click over the trash applet.

Actual results:
Trash applet is notably slower than nautilus

Expected results:
To be (almost) so fast as the desktop icon

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Some sort of profiling or timestamped stracing would be useful here.
