GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 316988
Gnome Phone Manager no longer pops up with new txts
Last modified: 2007-07-03 14:51:57 UTC
Please describe the problem: Forwarded from: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/2391 In Hoary this application worked perfectly (limited as it is) with this hardware but in Breezy the application allows one to send txts by bluetooth but does not seem to intercept the ones sent to the phone any more. I purged the package and reinstalled it but it still doesn't work. I have tested the connection by OBEXing pictures in both directions and all seems fine. Is there a trace or something which I could send you to help you identify the problem? Steps to reproduce: Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
Which phone is it, and which version of libgnokii?
i have libgnokii 0.6.5 and a SonyEricsson k700i - the same happens for me, don't exactly know about the reporter - asked him/her.
0.6.5 is ancient, 0.6.8 is the latest release. What do you have as the output of gnokii-identify? (the program is only in the sources, in libgsm/)
The reporter has a SoneEricsson T610. We upgraded to 0.6.8 - same results. Looking for gnokii-identify now.
Sorry for not following up earlier. I tried gnome-phone-manager CVS and gnokii 0.6.9 - the same problem persists. I use a SonyEricsson K700i and gnokii-identify gives me: daniel@bert:~/fix/test/gnome-phone-manager-0.6+cvs06.02.01/libgsm$ ./gnokii-identify 00:0E:07:8D:1F:1C model: AAB-1021041-BV daniel@bert:~/fix/test/gnome-phone-manager-0.6+cvs06.02.01/libgsm$
Same result for gnokii 0.6.11.
Hi, I'm the original reporter. I have a Sony Ericsson T610. I am now using Dapper Beta with Gnome-Phone-Manager 0.7 and libgnoki 0.6.12. This used to work ages ago so there must have been a regression somewhere. Here is a debug output: $ gnome-phone-manager --debug ** Message: New connection device is 00:0A:D9:76:0F:F3 ** Message: Connecting... ** Message: Status 1 ** Message: Making serial port connection conn_complete: status 0x00 ** (gnome-phone-manager:10170): WARNING **: Model AAB-1021011-CN not supported natively ** Message: Using driver 'AT' ** Message: Status 2 ** Message: Serial port connected ** Message: Connected to device on 00:0A:D9:76:0F:F3 ** Message: Exiting connect thread ** Message: mstr 'This is a test txt message to myself' [it never pops up or gives any further messages]
