Open the new appointment window which pops up. Now try to paste whatever was cut in the summary field. It pastes it in the form of a .ics file with all the BEGIN and END, etc. I have tried it in evolution 2.2.1 on Suse 9.3 RC1.
It works properly with the latest versions.
