Description John Ross Hunt 2003-10-30 15:41:49 UTC
Description of Problem:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Create filter to move msg from local inbox to
Exchange folder.
2. Apply filter.
3. View message in Outlook

Actual Results:

Moved messages show subject "(none)" when grouped
by conversation topic.

Expected Results:

Should create MAPI header property so messages
display subject when viewed by conversation topic
in Outlook.

How often does this happen?

Every time.

Additional Information:

Evolution 1.4.5 + Connector 1.4.5-0.ximian.6.1

0) Does this means they also do not show up in the conversation topic group that matches their subject?

1) Ancient bug. Still reproducible?

2) I have no way of testing this, but I do have a hunch that the "(none)" subject is because these messages not only miss a Thread-Index header but also do not have a "Thread-Topic" header. (Bug #258773 now contains pointers to Thread-Index and Thread-Topic documentation.) I'll adjust the summary accordingly.

3) I'll also remove the "MAPI property" part from the summary, because I don't know what that actually means. Please revert if it does make sense in the context of this bug.

Forget to set to NEEDINFO last time (but a direct RESOLVED / INCOMPLETE might do as well for this six year old report).
