Is this still an issue in GNOME 2.22/2.24? Should be better nowadays...
in 2.22.3 (Debian Lenny) it's ok, in Computer I can see partitions named as mount points. I think we can close the bug?
Well, we have three issues here: 1. Showing partition labels 2. If not, showing a 'usable' name. 3. Allowing to change the label of a partition Only the first one is fixed in Nautilus. But, when using an USB disk with several partitions without labels, it is hard to realize which one it is, speacially when two or more partitions have the same size. Or, when two USB sticks without partition labels have the same size.

We don't show the Computer anymore.
