Description Christian Neumair 2004-04-09 09:45:19 UTC
At the moment, the buttons expand and are therefore streched when moving the
paned to the right. This looks ugly.
The attached patch tries to prettify these buttons.

regs,
 Chris

I still don't agree with most of usab guys. Anyway, feel free to commit this
patch after applying the suggested changed (swap add/remove).

regs,
 Chris

Any news on this Federico? Can this go into CVS?

 Chris

Mass changing gtk+ bugs with target milestone of 2.4.2 to target 2.4.4, as
Matthias said he was trying to do himself on IRC and was asking for help with.
If you see this message, it means I was successful at fixing the borken-ness in
bugzilla :) Sorry for the spam; just query on this message and delete all
emails you get with this message, since there will probably be a lot.

Proposed patch against GTK+ 2.4

See Jonathans mail in the thread cited above. The desired behaviour is a button
box derivate which can hide the text of the buttons if there is too little
room, similar to how the accellabel hides the accelerator if necessary. This is
complicated by the fact that all button text should appear/disappear at the
same time
Comment 7 Federico Mena Quintero 2005-11-11 20:48:20 UTC
I'll mark this as a duplicate. We now know how to get rid of the buttons
altogether and still get a usable dialog :)
