Description chris 2003-12-27 22:34:23 UTC
Distribution: Unknown
Package: gnome-terminal
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.4.1 2.4.2
Gnome-Distributor: Gentoo Linux
Synopsis: Gnome-terminal crashes when deleting files with mc
Bugzilla-Product: gnome-terminal
Bugzilla-Component: general
Bugzilla-Version: 2.4.2
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.4.0.1)
Description:
Description of the crash:
While deleting files with midnite commander in gnome-teminal, g-t
segfaults.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Open g-t, run mc
2. navigate to the directory with files to remove in mc
3. press F8 to remove files

Expected Results:
Remove files and refresh screen

How often does this happen?
It seems to happen fairly often but not every time, when I switched to
using multi-gnome-terminal this problem was not there so I think this is
a g-t bug.

Additional Information:
When the crash occurs the title bar text gets corrupted.

Looks like pango, actually.
Comment 2 Owen Taylor 2004-01-01 17:45:18 UTC
This is a duplicate (not sure if it was assigned to Pango
or eel). Could someone find it and mark? Thanks.
Comment 3 Owen Taylor 2004-02-23 17:24:22 UTC
Can't find the other bug. As always, having reproduction instructions
would be tremendously valuable. Also, a backtrace with symbols would
go a long way towards being able to fix this bug.
Comment 4 Owen Taylor 2004-03-02 03:13:21 UTC
This was fixed last fall prior to Pango-1.3.1 - see notes on bug 89541.
