Description Sven Herzberg 2007-05-04 11:16:15 UTC
The passepartout project is currently shifting resources towards the GNOME project to attract more developers. The code is already hosted at svn.gnome.org (though I think we need to re-import the repository) and now we'd like to have a bugszilla product as well: https://lists.stacken.kth.se/pipermail/passepartout/2007-April/000023.html

Passepartout is a GTK+ based DTP application: http://www.stacken.kth.se/project/pptout/

We're currently planning the long-awaited release 0.7.0.

Sven,

I'm not a developer myself, but passepartout could have more developers contributing to the project, if the code were released under the GNU GPL license (I might be wrong as well).

And probably replacing Ghostscript with cairo might be a good idea for future versions.

Thanks for your work with passepartout,

Pablo

The current license is a lot less restrictive than the GPL, I don't see this as a blocking thing.

That's one of the planned things, indeed.

Added. Please go to

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/editproducts.cgi?action=edit&product=passepartout&classification=Other

and add at least one component (necessary before any bugs can be filed and
before the browse.cgi page will become active). Please use

passepartout-maint@gnome.bugs

as the default assignee and default qa contact for any components, and have
those wanting to watch passepartout bugs go to

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email

and add that email address to their comma separated "Users to watch" list.
