GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 695136
session-properties should install a highcontrast app icon
Last modified: 2013-07-08 14:58:58 UTC
We are aiming to have an highcontrast app icon for all apps in 3.8. See https://live.gnome.org/GnomeGoals/HighContrastAppIcons
Ping: any news about this?
What app is this referring to?
gnome-session. It has several icon sizes, but no High Contrast one.
gnome session is not an app. It doesn't even have a desktop file and I don't see any icon for it. What are you referring to specifically?
I see a folder called "gnome-session/data/icons/" in git, with the "session-properties.[png|svg]" name. Shouldn't it have a high contrast version of the icons stored in this folder?
Ok thank you. You meant the session-properties "app". I don't think we should be installing it as an app at all actually. I would move this functionality into the tweak tool.
Ok. Will that change be done soon? If so, we can close this bug, but it it doesn't, and it will take some time to commit the change, maybe we could wait to resolve this bug. Thanks for all!
I've opened bug 703795 for this. We will hopefully have mockups soon. I'm going to close this bug. Thanks for poking us about this, hopefully it will be done soon.
